My Name Is Thupten Norbu.

I am a Tibetan and a fun loving person!

Love

Time is too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love,
time is eternity.
―Henry Van Dyke

Compassion

“Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”

― Mother Teresa

Life

“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
― William W. Purkey

My Biography

Thupten was born in Tibet in Zachu Kha, Kashi Village, Sershul County, Sichuan Province in the Tibetan prefecture of Karze.
From an early age he lived the rigors of life in Kham, and at the early age of 7 he was already taking care of the livestock (yak) to help his family.

These experiences made it very clear to him how difficult it is for young people in this area to develop their education in a normal way. Even learning to read and write in Tibetan was nearly impossible, due to a lack of time and adequate infrastructure.

His experience has made him committed to the idea of helping the people of Tibet, to try and improve their living conditions with an emphasis on education and health.

He currently runs his own business in Lhasa and through his business he has been helping the Tibetan community and dedicating himself to the development of the Tibetan Altruism Association (T.A.A.) with the help of volunteers from the USA.
